The Jubillee Church

Updated: Jun 27, 2019

After seeing two different sites by Richard Meier's before seeing this church really made me realize his style of architecture. But when I saw this building I was like curves, when did Meier's use curves in any of his buildings. He was always about materials, proportions, and geometry. This was a very interesting building with the curves symbolizing more to the church and the design for lighting. Definitely doing light studies inside this church was really special and new to observe than when we did light studies in the Pantheon. The Pantheon was more controlled while the Jubilee church varied because of how the sun would moved through the space.
