This was on of the first buildings that I was able to draw without hesitation in my sketching class. I had so much confidence being able to draw the perfect geometries of this building and the fine details that the Rucellai put into this church was the most fun in drawing the outside. Then when you go inside it's all a one point perspective looking at the altar and everything draws towards that center. Then moving to the center to their open courtyard type of cloister really ties the whole setting together with another one point perspective again which is beautifully done again. I will take that small detailing to mind from the Santa Maria Novella and incorporate that into future project styles as another idea for exploration.
