These to sites made me focus a little more on geometry, material connections, and the usage of natural lighting. First San Giorgio really made me focus on the open windows high towards the ceiling give great lighting into the space and makes you eyes look right down the center to this big art piece and towards the altar that was behind it. Even the hallways beside and behind the building had natural lighting as well that would light up through the stain glass colored windows. Second was the Scarpa Museum which really point out how materials would intersect each other and create this piece of art in a simple way. I feel like modern architecture looks more into the clean cut of materials and blending the joints together which does not show the beauty in joinery in its natural form which makes me want to practice with that in my own works and using more materials then the basic materials that is easy to use.
